Recharger Magazine's 11th annual World Expo trade event will be held at Mandalay Bay on August 23-25, 2006. World Expo is readily revealed in its name: a worldwide gathering of industry members with the goal of product launches, service offerings, and peer networking and information sharing.
World Expo 2005 attracted 5,492 industry members who participated in the event, which hosted 312 exhibitors with more than 216,705 gross square footage of exhibit space. World Expo continues to live up to its name as international attendance from many regions of the world increased in 2005. International attendees made up 31 percent of all attendees (up from 28 percent in 2004). Attendees from the Pacific Rim, South America and Canada increased 1 percent each.
Seventy-seven percent of exhibitors at World Expo 2005 re-signed on-site for the 2006 show (an increase from the 75 percent who re-signed at the 2004 World Expo).
